About
Hello there! Welcome to my website. My name is Phyllis Lun (Chinese: 倫啟研) and I am a population health researcher and data analyst with a background in psychiatric epidemiology, psychology, and large-scale survey research. My work focuses on understanding how health, behavior, and social conditions shape outcomes at the population level, and on turning complex data into evidence that decision-makers can use.
My path into this work started with an early interest in mental health and a lasting curiosity about how people respond to stress, change, and uncertainty. Over time, that interest evolved into a research career centered on longitudinal studies, survey methods, and data translation across academic, public health, and policy settings.
I have worked across institutions in Hong Kong, the United States, and Canada, which has given me a broad perspective on research, collaboration, and the practical realities of working with complex data. I value rigorous methods, clear communication, and work that stays grounded in real-world needs.
Outside of work, I recharge by cycling, hiking, taking photos, and spending time with my plants. I also volunteer as a crisis responder with Kids Help Phone, which keeps me closely connected to the importance of accessible mental health support.
